# MCP capability reference

## Strategic context

- **Advisor Briefing:** primary rich context for strategic questions.
- **Empire Briefing:** narrower follow-up detail when context is constrained.
- **Recent campaign context:** recent changes and events.

Use Advisor Briefing first. Do not ask the user to choose internal tools unless a capability is genuinely unavailable.

## Chronicle context

- Read the cached Chronicle archive.
- Request source material for the current era or a chapter.
- Draft and revise prose in chat.

## Chronicle write-back

Save current-era text, update a chapter, create a chapter, or undo a Chronicle edit only after explicit user intent to save, apply, create, send back, or undo.

Write-back updates the local Chronicle cache. It does not edit the Stellaris save, finalize game state, call an AI provider, or alter Advisor data.
