Stellaris Companion 0.7.0Chronicle Refresh Update

Chronicles now catch up more reliably, with Balanced and Enhanced refresh modes that let players choose between lower usage and faster story updates.

Highlights

What Changed in 0.7.0

SYNC

Chronicles Catch Up

Current-era refreshes keep active campaign stories moving instead of leaving the Chronicle stranded on older events.

MODE

Balanced or Enhanced

Players can keep the lower-usage default or choose faster story updates when a more current Chronicle matters most.

PACE

Major Arcs Arrive Sooner

Improved chapter pacing records important campaign developments earlier and with fewer unnecessary refreshes.

Refresh Modes

Choose how quickly the Chronicle follows the campaign

Version 0.7.0 added two refresh modes so players can decide how aggressively the Chronicle should spend current-era generation calls.

  • Balanced mode keeps the lower-usage default for everyday campaigns.
  • Enhanced mode checks for story-worthy developments more often.
  • Refresh controls live alongside the rest of the Chronicle configuration.
Smarter Timing

Story updates happen where they are useful

The Chronicle now considers whether the player is actively viewing it before using extra current-era refresh calls, reducing background usage without freezing the story.

  • Active campaigns continue moving through the current era more reliably.
  • Extra refresh work waits until the Chronicle is being viewed.
  • Major campaign arcs are promoted into chapters sooner.
